Kurikulum Merdeka, IB MYP (Middle Years Programme)
Conceptual learning that challenges students to understand big ideas and the real-world relevance of knowledge. The program involves students in a Community Project and encourages the development of Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, which include critical thinking, communication, social, self-management, and research skills.
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) at BINUS School Simprug is the framework for students transitioning from Elementary to High School (typically ages 11 to 16). This stage is characterized by conceptual learning and a focus on making meaningful connections between subjects and the real world. The curriculum uses an interdisciplinary approach that develops Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills—such as critical thinking, communication, and self-management—across eight subject groups. A key component is the Community Project (in the final MYP year), which requires students to engage in service and action, ensuring they develop both intellectual discipline and social responsibility in preparation for the challenging Diploma Programme.
